Managing Director of Norman Mackie Associates t/a Works4U. Wendy has over 25 years’ experience working with vulnerable people and opened Works4U in 2002. Wendy oversees the overall experience for young people and works alongside other education establishments in the community to ensure that the needs of these young people are prioritised.
Mark Hyde: Centre Manager
Mark has worked at the centre for ten years and is responsible for the day-to-day running of Works4U, which includes ensuring young people arrive and depart the centre at the correct times while receiving sufficient care and tutoring during their time with us.
Kirsty McDonough: Finance Manager
Kirsty is responsible for all of the financial business at Works4U. She has worked at the centre for thirteen years after training at Tameside College, and is responsible for ensuring accurate costing is agreed and adhered to.
Jackie Anderson: Business Strategy Manager
Jackie began working at the centre in 2017 and is responsible for assisting with finances and business planning. Jackie is also our lead IQA and responsible for Human Resource Management within the business.
Samantha Fletcher: Team Leader
Samantha is our Team Leader that oversees our Key Workers in their role. Samantha is responsible for assisting Mark in the day to day running of the centre. She is also the Art Therapy Leader and offers Art enrichment sessions daily. Samantha provides academic and emotional support to learners with high needs.
James Mackie: Deputy Centre Manager
James is a Deputy Centre Manager in training. He assists Mark and Samantha with the daily running of the centre. He is responsible for our referral process and is often the first point of contact for new learners and their parents/carers. James was previously the ICT skills leader and can still be found assisting students with their Functional Skills Qualifications.
Jenny is a qualified teacher and the construction leader at Works4U. She helps young people to achieve their Certificate for Skills for Working in the Construction Industry through interactive, hands-on sessions and offering one-to-one support where needed.
Molly is the Animal Care Leader at Works4U and is responsible for helping learners to achieve their Level One Animal Care qualifications through Farm Therapy.
Shelby joined the Works4U team in August 2017 as the Functional Skills Leader. She delivers engaging sessions that help our learners to develop their Maths and English skills. Shelby is a graduate of Liverpool John Moores University and understands that helping to build our learners confidence in regards to academic work is key to their success.
Kerry is the PSHE Leader at Works4U and is responsible for planning engaging sessions to help learners to achieve their Employability skills qualification. Kerry also teaches the Level One in Skills for Working in the Health, Adult and Childcare Industry qualification.
Janice is a catering support worker based in The Peacock Cafe. She can be found conducting catering sessions with our young people; helping them to develop their independent living skills and achieve their qualification for Working in the Catering Industry. She is also responsible for serving the general public in the cafe.
Lyndsey is a support worker allocated to our pre-16 programme. She assists with Enrichment and Engagement sessions and helps our learners to achieve their Certificate in Personal and Social Skills. Lyndsey also assists with most of our outdoor activities and works closely with our Sports leader.
Jackie Foy is a Beauty Therapy support worker based at the Works4U Salon, where she assists with the delivery of our Beauty Therapy sessions and various other enrichment activities. Jackie has a demonstrated history of working in the care sector and acts as a supportive role model for our learners.
Sead is Support Worker based at Works 4 U. Sead has recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Accounting & Finance and came to Works 4 U immediately after.
